Rideable Dragons
Rideable Dragons refer to the specific species on each island that the resort employs for visitors to, as the name suggests, ride atop or alongside. Every single individual is specially trained from their birth to their adulthood, with focus on ensuring their charges are kept safe and can return to any hub in a moment should the need arise. Though each species can traverse between the islands, they are generally kept to their native habitats as they are the most well suited for their particular challenges.
Any individuals that do not pass the specialized training are either assigned with a resort employee as a helper for their daily tasks or the petting pen. This is also the case for senior individuals who are no longer fit for the strenuous days of traversing their islands, and need an easier routine for the sake of their continued health.
Every island in the archipelago are defined below, where you can find more details on the species found in each of them.
Lux

Lux is the first island of the archipelago defined by towering chalk-white cliffs and rolling fields. The dragons that inhabit this island are well-suited for flying amidst gusting winds coming in from the surrounding ocean. Though they differ greatly in size, both species of rideable dragons available for this island have excellent aerial control and make for the perfect flying partners during your time there. Outside of their service directly to you, they also provide invaluable service to the function of the resort as messengers and quick emergency transport between the islands.

Tenebris

Tenebris is the second island of the archipelago, featuring vast black-sand beaches and rocky terrain. Only two species of dragons call this island their home, and both have made for excellent partners in your resort experience. They are flightless dragons, but incredibly stocky, well-suited for the shifting sands of the beaches and the ever-changing shape of the inland stones. Additionally, these species are very docile and friendly to all they come across, making them ideal partners for spending lots of time exploring the beaches. When they aren’t ferrying visitors from the island hub to the beaches all around, they are excellent at helping employees transport goods and heavy materials around as needed.

Viridis

Viridis is the third and largest island of the archipelago, featuring a dense forest filled with incredibly diverse flora and fauna. There is only one species available to ride on this island, as they are perfectly suited for the environment and provide the best possible experience of any other species found there. Not only are they swift and nimble, they are excellent arboreal climbers, making them the ideal ride through the tightly packed foliage. For duties outside of the visitor’s exploration, they make for excellent lost-and-found helpers, as they possess and excellent sense of smell that allows them to track virtually anything from great distances.

Caeruleus

Caeruleus is the fourth and smallest island of the archipelago, serving primarily as a central gathering point and hub for the ocean-dwelling dragons that frequent the archipelago’s waters. Visitors can either take daring dives with our swiftest swimmers, or kick back and relax for a mini-cruise on our largest rideable dragons. The smaller of the two are specially trained to keep tabs on the visitor paired with them, able to swiftly detect failures in any diving equipment and make a quick return to the hub for safety. The largest are slow but steady swimmers, their size meaning they are never bothered by other wildlife resulting in safe and relaxing cruises around the four islands.
